Image
Manga has become a source of escape and joy for me. The intricate drawings and compelling characters transport me to different worlds and brighten my day. My journey into the world of manga began with Chainsaw Man, a fascinating yet melancholic manga that perfectly introduced this form of art. Since then, I have been exploring the vast and diverse universe of manga, immersing myself in the stories and characters that captivate my imagination. Source:  Manga Vol 1 Chainsaw Man is an exceptional manga that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to delve into the world of manga. This manga is an excellent introduction to the genre, as it offers a perfect balance of thrilling action, intricate plot, and fast-paced storytelling. Every chapter of the manga is unique and different from the previous one, making it an engaging and exciting read. The story's protagonist is a bit of a goofball at times, but he is also quite relatable, as his goals in life are simple and straightforward. If yo...

Blogs Entry #9. The Dangers of Energy Drinks

Image
Source: Energy Drinks People often turn to energy drinks for a quick energy boost in today's hectic world. These drinks are a favorite among busy workers and college students looking for a way to stay alert and focused throughout the day. The primary energy source in these drinks is caffeine, which provides an immediate rush of energy. However, the effects of caffeine don't last long, and many people find that one drink isn't enough to keep them awake for extended periods. Despite the benefits of energy drinks, they also come with several adverse effects that users should be aware of. These include increased heart rate, high blood pressure, and dehydration. Energy drinks often contain high sugar levels and other additives that can harm one's health if consumed regularly.  Looking at the chart, which outlines various drinks' caffeine and sugar content, I am struck by the intriguing details it reveals. The amount of caffeine in each drink is particularly fascinating...

Entry #8. Dark Soul 3 and the End

Image
As the series of shows and games go on, they eventually end someday. It has to; all good things must end, no matter how much you don't want them to. In this blog, I'll discuss Dark Soul 3, the game that ended the Dark Soul series. It's not only how that game ended the Dark Soul series but also how it represents the end. Source:  Dark Soul 3 Dark Souls represents the end of all things in a way. From the first and second Dark Souls games, they always end with starting a new age. To summarize, Dark Souls is a game where the main character tries to light a new fire to start a new age. To achieve this, you fight all kinds of bosses. The series is known for its challenging bosses. Dark Souls 3 ends the series in a way that many say represents the end of everything. Your character lights the fire, but not in the same way as before. The fire is small and powerful, just like in the first game. It's a little sad fire that the character stares at for a bit before sitting down to ...

Entry #7. Fresh

Image
The movie "Fresh" provides a riveting and eye-opening portrayal of the farming industry. Through its lens, we see the stark dichotomy between the idyllic image of the countryside and the harsh reality of animal mistreatment and overprocessed farming techniques. Watching the film, I was shocked by the lack of care many farms show towards their animals and the environment. However, it also highlighted the problematic reality these farms face in trying to meet the demands of a growing population in the United States. Despite the disheartening scenes, "Fresh" provides a powerful and necessary critique of the farming industry and encourages us to consider the impact of our food choices on animals and the planet.                                                             Source: Fresh At the film's beginning, we are introduced to a couple named...

Entry #6. Mechs and Loneliness-Evangelion

Image
There aren't many shows that made me feel a specific way. I'm not one to have much of a reaction when watching or reading certain media. However, there was always one, Evangelion, an anime about three teenagers saving the world from alien monsters called Angels. Oh boy, surely that's what it's all about. Hang out with friends and go to the beach while saving the world simultaneously. Aren't most media about piloting giant robots all about? What more is there? Why is Evangelion, an anime from 1997, still being talked about?  To summarize the plot, there are three main characters: Shinji, Rei, and Asuka. All three have been tasked with destroying the Angels, giant monsters that come down to earth, seeking to destroy it. It's a simple enough plot for most people starting the anime, though that's what the anime wants you to think. (No spoils, of course)    Source:  Eva-01                Without spoiling the events that h...

Entry #5. Mayhem Commercial

Image
Source:  Mayhem Commercial In today's world, commercials are crucial in marketing products and services. However, many viewers find them boring and uninteresting. Advertisers strive to make their commercials engaging and entertaining to grab their audience's attention. Some commercials succeed in doing so, while others fail. One such successful commercial is Allstate's advertisement, which uses pathos to evoke emotions and create a light-hearted mood. The commercial uses humor to depict the consequences of not having insurance. It portrays the worst-case scenarios that could happen without insurance coverage. The actor featured in the commercial is Dean Winters, who does a fantastic job of portraying a bear with a sense of humor. In the commercial, the bear completely destroys a car, which is the focal point of the advertisement. The message is clear: unexpected things can happen, so having the right insurance coverage is crucial. Allstate is the insurance company that ca...

Entry #4. How Can You Move On?-Omori

Image
Childhood is a precious period in everyone's life. It's a time when we experience the world with fresh eyes, full of wonder and possibility. It's when we create some of our fondest memories, meet lifelong friends, and live a simpler life. The nostalgia of childhood is something many of us hold dear and never want to let go of. In this blog post, I want to dive into the world of the indie game Omori and explore the character of Sunny. Sunny, the game's protagonist, symbolizes the struggle of leaving his childhood behind. As well as the world that he created for himself, Headspace.   Sunny is the protagonist; the player plays for the whole game's length. Sunny is classified as a shut-in who wishes to not leave their home. While playing as a shut-in may not be seen as exciting, it's why he's the way he is. It's a massive plot twist, which I would not be spoiling. Nevertheless, Sunny ends up creating this whole world called Headspace. It's an imaginary p...
